摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood shock absorbing device capable of reducing impact to a collision body from the hood as compared with conventional. <P>SOLUTION: In the hood shock absorbing device 40, when a push-up rod 52 pushes up a rear end part of the hood 13 in collision of the vehicle 10 and the collision body 90 is slammed to an upper surface of the hood 13 in this state, the rear end part of the hood 13 goes down and a distal end part 52H of the push-up rod 52 is slide-contactedly moved on a rear side flat part 34R at the rear end part of the hood 13 and an arm intermediate curved part 32W. Here, a slide-contact angle &theta; at the arm intermediate curved part 32W becomes larger than a slide-contact angle &theta; at the rear end part of the rear side flat part 34R.
