PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device, capable of preventing an outline of an actually transferred foil from being blurred, while using a liquid-like adhesive of low viscosity, in foil transfer. SOLUTION: This method/device is provided with an application device 3 for applying an adhesive onto the foil 19 in a foil material sheet reverse face 10a side or a base material sheet surface 20a, a pressure contact device 5 for bringing a foil material sheet 10 into pressure contact with a base material sheet 20 interposedly with the applied adhesive 30, in a pressure contact area, the first irradiation device 16 for irradiating the applied adhesive with the first integration spectrum of ultraviolet ray, in the first irradiation area L1, and the second irradiation device 26 for irradiating the applied adhesive with the second integration spectrum of ultraviolet ray, in the second irradiation area L2, and the pressure contact device 5, the first irradiation device 16 and the second irradiation device 26 are provided to arrange the first irradiation area L1, the pressure contact area C, and the second irradiation area L2 sequentially along a conveying direction conveyed with the base material sheet 20 applied with the adhesive.
