PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device equipped with a flat display, such as, liquid-crystal display and which is installable in an outdoor location. SOLUTION: This image display device 1 is provided with a liquid-crystal display 10 having a display panel 11, a housing 12, a circulating fan 18, and an air conditioner 19. The housing 12 includes a sealing part 121. The sealing part 121 seals the circumference of the display panel 11, while forming a space 11a between a display screen 112 of the display panel 11 and itself, encloses it in the inside and allows the display screen 112 to be viewed from the outside. The circulating fan 18 circulates air, in a space 11a along a circulation passage 92 which surrounds the display panel 11 through the space 11a between the display screen 112 and the sealing part 121. The air conditioner 19 recovers heat from the air circulating along the circulation passage 92 and discharges the recovered heat to the outside of the housing 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
