<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source module capable of stably obtaining a plane light source with the high uniformity of chromaticity and luminance and capable of being further thinned, and provide an electronic apparatus equipped with the module. <P>SOLUTION: The light source module is provided with a light source 1 of a light emitting element having a single central wavelength, for example, such as a blue color LED, a light guide plate 2 of which the front surface is a light emitting face 22 of an almost rectangular shape and the rear surface is a wavelength conversion face 23 of an almost rectangular shape, and a wavelength conversion layer 25 arranged on the wavelength conversion face 23 of the light guide plate 2 and converting a wavelength of emitted light from the light source 1.
