摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine suppression of knocking and suppression of fuel efficiency deterioration at high dimension, in a control device of an internal combustion engine in which raw material fuel is separated into high-octane number fuel and low-octane number fuel to be used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The control device of the internal combustion engine comprises a separator 30 for separating the supplied raw material fuel into high RON fuel and low RON fuel and controls the ratio of the high RON fuel and the low RON fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine 10 according to the operation status of the internal combustion engine 10. When generation of knocking is detected, the control device determines whether a remaining amount of the high RON fuel is larger than a predetermined reference value or not (step 102). When the remaining amount of the high RON fuel is larger than the predetermined reference value, the ratio of the high RON fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine 10 is increased (steps 104-112). On the other hand, when the remaining amount of the high RON fuel is smaller than the predetermined reference value, the ignition timing is spark-delayed (step 114).
