PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of ranking search results ranking search results without using a complex process or a complex system arrangement, and a search result evaluation device. SOLUTION: The method of ranking search results uses a URL information accumulation device 4 for accumulating URL information indicating a plurality of URLs accessed via a communication network L, and a search result evaluation device 5 for evaluating URL evaluation values used in the ranking of the display orders of the URLs displayed on a search web page as search results. In the method, the search result evaluation device 5 specifies for each communication session the first URLs to be accessed among one or a plurality of URLs included in a series of communication sessions for URL information, counts the number of the first URLs, and calculates evaluation values based on evaluation value calculation information D4 including the counting results.
