<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod equipped with a means for preventing the loosening of a butt plug by which the reduction of functions is prevented over a long period by adding a reasonable remodeling at least to one of a screw part at the terminal part of the butt of a butt rod, and the screw part of the butt plug. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fishing rod is constituted as follows. A swelling part 4B contacting with the screw part of the butt rod 1 in a pressurized state is installed in a part in the periphery direction of the screw part 4a in the butt plug 4. The pressurizing force is caused by a state of the butt plug 4 screwed in the butt terminal part 1B of the butt rod 1 by the bending deformation in the radius direction by the contact with the screw part 6a of a holding body 6 held by the butt rod 1, and the self-reset action thereof to the posture before the deformation.
