<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing system capable of preventing degradation of productivity caused by the waiting of a sheet-like medium to be conveyed next between the time when the predetermined sheet-like medium is folded and the time when the sheet-like medium is conveyed to a staple means after the folding is completed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The post-processing system comprises a pre-stack means arranged on a first conveying path to stack a sheet-like medium to be conveyed on the first conveying path, a staple means for stapling the sheet-like medium via the first conveying path, a control means for controlling the conveyance of the sheet-like medium, and a second conveying path which is merged with the first conveying path on the downstream side of the pre-stack means to convey the sheet-like medium folded in the predetermined form. The control means a succeeding sheet-like medium to the pre-stack means succeeding the folded sheet-like medium, releases the stack at the timing of jointly conveying both the folded sheet-like medium and the succeeding sheet-like medium, and conveys both sheet-like media to the staple means.
