<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transport fluid containing a nanoparticle composite capable of further improving heat transport performance, and having a nano particle and its protective film, and to provide the nanoparticle composite in such a heat transport fluid. <P>SOLUTION: The heat transport fluid (10) comprises a medium and the nanoparticle composite (16) having the nanoparticle (13) and its protective film (15), wherein the nanoparticle composite (16) has at least one tail part (17) in which the protective film (15) at a certain point on the nanoparticle composite (16) is thicker than the protective film (15) at a point of the contrary side on the nanoparticle composite (16), and the movement of the nanoparticle composite (16) to the opposite direction against the tail part (17) is promoted with vibration due to collision of the tail part (17) with the medium molecule (11).
