<p>A ball screw includes a screw shaft (1), in which a thread groove (5) is formed in an outer peripheral face thereof, that includes a small-diameter portion (12) with a diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the screw shaft (1) formed integrally at one end of the screw shaft (1); a nut (2), through which the screw shaft (1) passes, having a thread groove (6) formed in an inner peripheral face thereof; a plurality of balls (4) disposed in a ball passage (8) formed by the thread groove (5) of the screw shaft (1) and the thread groove (6) of the nut (2); and a ring-shaped stopper (13;15;16), immovably fitted on the small-diameter portion (12), that prevents the nut (2) from moving.
