PURPOSE: A master cylinder for a clutch is provided to facilitate the gear shift of a vehicle in operating a clutch pedal and to reduce the oil pressure release time. CONSTITUTION: A master cylinder for a clutch is composed of a cylinder(100), a piston(200), a return spring(300), and a check valve(400), and a check spring(420). The oil is filled in the cylinder. The piston is connected from a clutch pedal. The piston is formed within the cylinder and generates the oil pressure through the operation of the clutch pedal. The return spring is mounted in the cylinder and restores the position of the piston by elastic force. The check valve is inserted in the center of one side of the piston and is moved by oil pressure. The check spring is mounted between the piston and the check valve.
