<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly convenient folding chair facilitating carriage and storage thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This folding chair includes leg members 13 for supporting a seat portions 1 and a back member 14 for supporting a backrest portions 2, wherein the leg member 13 is formed by crossing and pivoting ground contact rod parts 7 and 8 of a front leg member 3 and a rear leg member 4 which consists of horizontal rod portions 5 and 6, and the ground contact rod portions 7 and 8 hanging down from both ends of the horizontal rod portions 5 and 6, respectively, and the back member 14 consists of a horizontal support rod portions 11 and vertical support rod portions 10 suspended from both ends of the horizontal support rod portions 11 and having both lower end parts pivoted to the lower ends of the ground contact rod portions 8. The positions of a pivot portions A between the ground contact rod portions 7 and 8 and a pivot portions B between the ground contact rod portions 8 and the vertical support rod portions 10 are so set as to collect the horizontal rod portions 5 and 6 and the horizontal support rod portions 11 into a bundled state so as to be held, when the leg member 13 is folded about the pivot portions A as a fulcrum, is brought closer to the back member 14 and is folded, and superposed about the pivot portions B as a fulcrum.
