<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repository system for appropriately reflecting each content of a file edited by two or more persons, based on update log and the content of editing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A repository server 1 includes: a file database 1c which stores a file and manages the version thereof; a log management part 1d which manages log information on read and write of the file; and a determination processing part 1e which presents, upon receipt of a file write request from a client terminal 22, two or more version management methods of the file to the client terminal 22 having made a file write request when the file is one of files obtained by editing the same original file in two or more client terminals, and the file obtained by editing the same original file by the other client terminal 21 is already stored in the file database 1c.
