<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer compound useful for stain-resistant paint, anti-fogging paint, a stain-resistant resin, an anti-fogging resin, a photosensitive planographic plate or the like, and a new α-substituted acrylate derivative which is a raw material of the polymer compound. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The α-substituted acrylate derivative is represented by formula (I) (in the formula, R<SP>1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom, a 1-5C alkyl group or a 1-5C fluorinated alkyl group, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or they may combine together to represent an alkylene group; Y represents an alkylene group wherein an optional position may be substituted with an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; and n, m each represents an integer and n+m≥1).
