<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixer of resin fine particles which does not disturb the fine particles including resin of toner or the like on a medium such as paper, which quickly fixes the resin fine particles to the medium after applying the fixer to the medium on which the resin fine particles are adhered, and which could be applied in small amounts to the degree in which the resin particles do not produce the feeling that the solution is still remaining on the medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A foam-like fixer is generated, and attached onto resin fine particles on the medium to fix the resin fine particles to the medium. The fixer includes a softener which melts or swells at least one part of the resin fine particles and softens the resin fine particles; water; a foaming agent consists of a fatty acid salt; and a foam booster which increases the foaming stability of the foam-like fixer.
