INTERMEDIATE ADAPTER, CAMERA BODY AND IMAGING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate adapter allowing accurate detection of attachment of an interchangeable lens to the intermediate adapter when attaching the interchangeable lens to a camera body through the intermediate adapter. SOLUTION: This intermediate adapter 300 has: a first terminal capable of being connected to a lens attachment-detecting terminal BDET provided on the camera body 100 when the intermediate adapter 300 is attached to the camera body; a second terminal LDET capable of being connected to a terminal provided on the interchangeable lens 200 for providing prescribed potential when the interchangeable lens is attached to the intermediate adapter; and a first switch 306 electrically connecting the first terminal and the second terminal when the first switch is on, and disconnecting the electrical connection between the first terminal and the second terminal when the first switch is off. While the intermediate adapter is attached to the interchangeable lens, the first switch is off to disconnect the electrical connection between the first terminal and the second terminal.
