PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable hermetic compressor and refrigerating cycle device, ensuring stability of a shaft even in a high-speed rotation area and maintaining high performance. SOLUTION: This hermetic compressor 1 includes an electric motor section 30 and a compression mechanism section 20 driven by the electric motor section 30 through a crankshaft 33 respectively stored in a sealed vessel 10, and is provided with a main bearing 22 and an auxiliary bearing 23 respectively pivotally supporting the rotating shaft 33 and closing the compression chamber 25 of the compression mechanism 20, and a third bearing 37a provided on the side of the electric motor section 30, opposed to the compression mechanism section. At least one of the main bearing 22 and auxiliary bearing 23 has rigidity reducing parts 22f, 23f formed on at least one of an end on the side of the compression chamber and an end on the side opposed to the compression chamber.
