<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet cutting device and a booklet cutting method capable of enhancing the productivity in cutting booklets. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the booklet cutting device 10A, a first cutting mechanism 16 conveys a booklet 2 along a curved conveying passage 12b while holding the booklet 2 in the thickness direction. The first cutting mechanism 16 has a pair of left cutting unit 20L and a right cutting unit 20R which are juxtaposed in the curved conveying passage 12b so as to cut both a top and a bottom of the booklet. The left cutting unit 20L and the right cutting unit 20R are provided at the middle position of the curved conveying passage 12b, and have a first cutting blade 22 and a second cutting blade 24 which are abutted on the booklet 2 to be conveyed along the curved conveying passage 12b to cut both the top and bottom 2c of the booklet 2.
