The system has a processor coupled to a memory, where the processor organizes large volume data in the memory into multiple bricks that are non- overlapping. A graphics processing unit (GPU) is coupled to the processor and another memory, where the latter memory stores the bricks transferred from the former memory. The GPU processes the bricks to produce intermediate processing results, where the GPU renders the intermediate processing results. The GPU dynamically generates a boundary of the bricks for interpolation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for processing and rendering large volume data (2) a computer comprising a processor-storage medium.
