The machine element has a component (1) which contains a cement-combined material (2), where an insert is connected in positive-fit and detachable manner with the cement-combined material. The cement-combined material is concrete, which is formed from metal, and the component is formed from cement-combined material. The material contains a mixture of iron fiber, iron armor, artificial fibers, glass fiber, carbon fibers, synthetic fiber-glass fiber, carbon fiber mats, and a filler material, particularly polystyrene. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a machine element.
