<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor to reduce expansion of valve and to ensure stable electrical characteristics for a longer period, in view of obtaining superior sound quality, when it is used in audio devices. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrolytic capacitor is constituted by accommodating a capacitor element, formed by winding an anode foil and a cathode foil having completed the etching process via a separator within an outer-package cylindrical metal case, having the bottom together with an electrolyte for drive. In this electrolytic capacitor, the outer-package metal case includes completed heat treatment and is characterized in that a tensile strength of the outer-package metal case, after a heat treatment is in the range of 20 to 80 N/mm<SP>2</SP>.
