<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission state display method, capable of instantaneously discriminating a marginal degree for transmission from an FPU transmitter in the reception field intensity of an FPU-receiving base station. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An FPU transmitter a transmits by radio a program material to an FPU-receiving base station b. The FPU-receiving base station b generates a reception state signal, containing a marginal degree for each encoding rate of transmission rate, based on the electric waves received, and transmits the generated reception state signal combined with the program material to a remote monitor control device X. A reception I/F part 1 receives the synthesized signal and inputs it in a demodulation part 2. The demodulation part 2 demodulates the input signal. A reception state signal extracting part 3 discriminates a reception state signal from among the combined signals for acquiring a marginal degree. Then, the reception state signal extracting part 3 reads an indication amount corresponding to the marginal degree out of a memory 5.
