<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document version management device allowing free setting of a document approval hierarchy and its meaning in each project, managing status of each hierarchy as a version number, and providing it to a user as information. <P>SOLUTION: In this document version management system, a peculiar document management hierarchy and a name representing the hierarchy are held in an approval hierarchy master in each project, and they can be managed associatively with a version. When updating the version of a document, a level of the version number can be automatically raised according to the document management hierarchy held in each project in reference to the approval hierarchy master. When a display request of a document situation is performed from a client, the version number imparted to the document can be converted into the name by use of the approval hierarchy master, and it can be returned to the client. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
