<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine the stop of a web browser without requiring excessive load when the web browser is stopped, and delete session information about the web browser. <P>SOLUTION: The web browser sends a Long Poll request to a server. The server temporarily holds the Long Pall request and performs push processing for the web browser at a certain time. The web browser returns the Long Poll request to the server upon receiving data pushed from the server. The web server measures total communication time, which is the time between when the push processing is executed and when the Long Poll request is received from the web browser.
