<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding electrode inspection device having a simple constitution, achieving a low cost and a small size, and a welding electrode inspection method using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The welding electrode inspection device 1 is for inspecting the size of the tip end surface 51 of a pair of welding electrode tips 5 in a spot welding machines. The welding electrode inspection device 1 has a camera 2 as an image sensor arranged such that its light axis is oblique to the axial direction of the pair of welding electrode tips 5, and a reflection mirror 3 arranged opposedly to the camera 2 on the opposite side of the camera 2 interposing a gun space 52 formed between the pair of welding electrode tips 5. The welding electrode inspection device is constituted such that the camera 2 can detect the image of one welding electrode tip 501 of the pair of welding electrode tips 5 directly and can detect the image of the other welding electrode tip 502 indirectly through the reflection mirror 3.
