PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the rise time of a drive current driving a light emitting element to rapidly switch the light emitting element even when a drive circuit is connected to the light emitting element through a long connection cable.

SOLUTION: A print control part 1 includes a drive output circuit 71, and a plurality of light emitting thyristors d1-d8 are arranged in an optical print head 19. The print control part 1 is connected to the optical print head 19 through a connection cable 60, a drive current from the drive output circuit 71 flows to the light emitting thyristors d1-d8 through the connection cable 60, and a resistor 81 is arranged between the connection cable 60 and the light emitting thyristors d1-d8. Thereby the rise time is reduced without generating ripple waveform.
