PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission apparatus which can separate a differential signal and an in-phase signal, transmit surely by using one pair of transmission lines and can respond to multipoint connection. SOLUTION: The signal transmission apparatus, in which a differential signal and a single end signal, which was superimposed as an in-phase signal, are transmitted with a pair line 3, includes a transceiving apparatus 5, which is branched and connected from the pair line 3 for transmitting and receiving the differential signal and the in-phase signal. The transceiving apparatus 5 includes a separating and synthesizing circuit 6, which performs interchange between the in-phase signal and the single end signal, separates or synthesizes the differential signal and the single end signal and generates an output. In addition, the separating and synthesizing circuit 6 includes: a differential signal passing means, which becomes low impedance to the differential signal and becomes high impedance to the in-phase signal, for passing the differential signal; and an in-phase signal passing means, which becomes low impedance to the in-phase signal and becomes high impedance to the differential signal for passing the in-phase signal.
