FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method is described for obtaining styrene polymers capable of foaming, with molecular weight Mw ranging from 190000 to 400000 g/mol, involving passing a molten styrene polymer containing a foaming agent at temperature from 140 to 300C through a nozzle plate with openings, heated to temperature which is 20 to 100C higher than the temperature of the said molten polymer, where the diametre of the said openings at the outlet of the nozzle assumes a maximum value of 1.5 mm, and subsequent granulation. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of the method, increased carrying capacity at given diametre of granules and uniform distribution of granule size. ^ 16 cl, 1 dwg, 6 tbl, 13 ex |
