PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an imide (meth)acrylic ester with less coloration and few impurities, and to provide a curable resin composition having more excellent heat resistance and adhesion than a conventional composition and suitable for application to electronic materials. SOLUTION: The method includes reacting a carboxylic acid anhydride with an amino-alcohol compound to obtain an imide-alcohol compound, and then obtaining an imide (meth)acrylic ester by an esterification reaction, wherein the reaction of the carboxylic acid anhydride with the amino-alcohol compound is conducted at a reaction temperature controlled to 80-105°C in an inert gas atmosphere.
