<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high collection efficiency, high regeneration efficiency and a low pressure loss, in a DPF. <P>SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure has an exhaust inflow passage 32b for opening the exhaust upstream side and blocking up the downstream side, an exhaust outflow passage 32a adjacent to this exhaust inflow passage 32b, blocking up the exhaust upstream side and opening the downstream side, and a porous material partition wall 30 for separating the exhaust inflow passage 32b and the exhaust outflow passage 32a. The exhaust emission control filter 13 collects particulate matter in exhaust gas to a pore 33 when the exhaust gas flowed in from the exhaust inflow passage 32b flows out of the exhaust outflow passage 32a by passing through the pore 33 of the partition wall 30. Catalyst layers 34 and 35 thicker on the exhaust outflow passage 32a side than the exhaust inflow passage 32b side, are carried on the pore 33 of the partition wall 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
