The pressure sensor has an inductive element (4), a pressure container (1), whose one side is partially formed by an elastically deformed membrane (2) by pressure changes in the pressure container, and a damping element (3) spaced from the inductive element. The damping element moves relative to the inductive element during pressure change. The inductance of the inductive element changes and the respective pressure change is detected by an evaluation unit by the inductance change. An independent claim is included for a method for contactless pressure measurement.
