PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for preventing a bolt or a nut from dropping off, capable of surely holding the bolt or the nut so as not to drop even when fastening the bolt or the nut by manual work and/or loosening and removing the fastened bolt or the like. SOLUTION: The dropping-off preventing tool prevents the bolt or the nut from dropping off during mounting/dismounting the bolt 20 or the nut to/from an object 10 to be fastened, and includes a coil spring 2 for fitting a head of the bolt or an outside surface of the nut to an inside of the coil spring 2 through an opening 2a of one end thereof.
