<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, wherein relationship to each selection factor can be easily obtained by improving visibility even if there are a plurality of categories to be set. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is configured by holding a liquid crystal layer 11 between a pair of transparent substrates 9 and 10, wherein the transparent substrates are arranged facing each other at a predetermined interval. A liquid crystal cell 1 has electrodes 5 and 6 respectively formed on surfaces of the transparent substrates 9 and 10 facing each other. On a front-side surface of the liquid crystal cell 1, a polarizing plate 2 is arranged; and on a rear-side surface thereof, an optical sheet 3 is arranged. The optical sheet 3 has a reflection axis and a transmission axis in a direction substantially perpendicular to each other, and the optical sheet reflects an incident light of a polarization component along the reflection axis and transmits an incident light of the polarization component along the transmission axis. Moreover, the optical sheet 3 includes the followings arranged on the rear-side surface thereof: a transparent color film 14 in which a plurality of partially-different colors are applied on the transparent film; and a backlight unit 4 for irradiating the transparent color film 14 with light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
