<p>A process for producing layered rigid fuel pellets comprising: a biomass material a particulate carbon-based material, and a silicate-based binder, the process comprising at least the following steps: admixing one of the biomass material and the particulate carbon-based material with the binder; agglomerating the first so-formed mixture by tumbling at ambient temperature to form core pellets; admixing the other of the biomass material and the particulate carbon- based material with the binder; and agglomerating the second so-formed mixture around the core pellets by tumbling at ambient temperature to form the pellets.</p> |
