<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having high-contrast red pixels, in which a phase difference value in the thickness direction of a red colored pixel layer can be appropriately controlled so as to improve the visibility in an oblique direction, in a high-contrast liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter includes at least red pixels, green pixels and blue pixels on a transparent substrate, wherein the red pixels are made of a cured product of a red-colored composition, containing a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment having an average primary particle diameter of from 5 nm to 40 nm and at least one kind of retardation control agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
