PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus in which fine dimming control is possible without making the configuration complicate. SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus includes as follows. A bypass capacitor C9 which bypasses at least part of a high frequency current is connected in parallel only to a fluorescent lamp 14 in fluorescent lamps 13 and 14 linked in series. The fluorescent lamp 14 is made to be switched off by the bypass capacitor C9 in the light control state of 10% or less of all light lighting. Fine dimming control becomes possible without making the configuration complicate, for example without preparing an inverter circuit which carries out lighting control of each of two or more fluorescent lamps.
