<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a degree of freedom in arrangement of a part arranged in an upper end part of an engine body, by miniaturizing the engine body in the cylinder axial direction, in a vehicular power unit for mounting the engine body of an engine having a valve gear capable of changing an operation mode of an engine valve and a valve system control device for controlling operation of the valve gear, on a vehicle body frame, and storing a transmission in a crankcase for constituting a part of the engine body by rotatably supporting a crankshaft having the axis extending in the width direction of the vehicle body frame.
