<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing of a surface-mounted inductor capable of suppressing decrease in the reliability of a surface mount inductor to be manufactured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing of a surface-mounted inductor 1 includes: a magnetic body layer 10, formed by performing press formation of insulation magnetic powder; a coil 20 disposed inside the magnetic body layer 10; and an electrode layer 30, that includes a first electrode 32 and a second electrode 34 connected to two lead wires 22, 24, respectively, extended from the coil 20 and is formed by performing press formation of conductive powder CP. When press formation of the conductive powder CP is carried out, a first molding die 110 having a projection 112 projecting toward the side of a molding space is used, and the conductive powder CP is supplied to the molding space, up to a position which is smaller than the projection height of the projection 112, to perform press formation of the conductive powder CP, while the first molding die 110 is disposed so that the projection 112 faces the upper direction.
