PURPOSE: A byte code conversion accelerating device and a method thereof are provided to increase the number of byte codes processable with hardware by using a look-up table, thereby improving overall performance of a virtual machine. CONSTITUTION: When an enable signal is activated, a buffer(110) receives and stores a byte code from an instruction cache(1). A decoder(120) decodes the byte code, and outputs a decoding signal. A look-up table(130) outputs state information and a first raw code to an executing unit(3) according to the decoding signal. A controller(160) reads a reference address stored in a link table according to the decoding signal, and sequentially outputs raw codes stored in a raw code table to the executing unit.
