<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and composition for controlled release delivery of a peptide or protein drug; and to provide a method of production for the composition and a device, useful for controlled delivery of the peptide or protein drug. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The composition for controlled delivery of a peptide or protein, includes a biocompatible bioerodable polymer wherein a glassy matrix phase containing a peptide or protein together with a thermoprotectant is dispersed.
