<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of releasing a lock state by a mechanical means when a lid in which abnormal conditions are produced turns locked. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inspection device has a device body 1 which houses a microchip, the taking in and out lid 2 and a release button 3. The device body incorporates a moving member 6 to the release button within the device body, a push plate 7 of which the leading end is energized in the direction separated from the release button by a spring, is attached on the side of the release button of the moving member, a lock plate 8, of which the leading end is energized in the direction separated from the release button by a spring, is attached between the push plate and the back of the release button, a through-hole, in which a release rod for mechanically releasing the lock state of the lid is inserted. The leading end of the push plate is fitted in the fitting hole formed to the lock plate by inserting the release rod and pushing the push plate by the leading end of the release rod and the lock plate is separated from the back of the release button by the biasing force of the spring to make the release button operable.
