PURPOSE: An airbag apparatus for a vehicle is provided to protect the upper body of a passenger from all four directions with a tube type cushion in case of a head-on collision, a side-collision or a roller accident. CONSTITUTION: An airbag apparatus for a vehicle includes an inflator and a tube type cushion(30). The inflator supplies gas pressure. The tube type cushion tears the head lining by the inflator to be deployed. The tube type cushion is installed between a roof panel of the upper part of a seat(4) and the head lining. The tube type cushion protects the upper body of a passenger while covering the head. |
