PURPOSE: An information storage device is provided to perform the positioning decision of a head with improved accuracy in a short time. CONSTITUTION: In a recording medium, a plurality of control marks is recorded. The control marks are arranged in a fixed rule. A medium driving unit rotates the recording medium. A head(51) contacts and approaches the surface of the recording medium and performs information reproduction and information recording. A driving power controller controls the driving force of the head driving unit. A driving time controller controls the driving time of the head driving unit. A driving force correction unit corrects the control of the driving force by the driving power controller.
