PURPOSE: An optical member, a manufacturing method thereof, and a backlight assembly having the same are provided to improve quality of an emitted light of a backlight assembly by improving uniformity of luminance. CONSTITUTION: A base layer(31) has a first surface and a second surface faced with the first surface. The second surface receives a light from light sources. Condensing lenses(36) are formed to the first surface with a fixed pitch. A plurality of light diffusion pattern parts(38) is formed to the second surface corresponding to the light sources in order to reduce a light amount reflected by the condensing lenses. The light diffusion pattern parts have a plurality of curved surfaces having a stripe shape extended into a first direction, and are separately formed into a second direction.
