PURPOSE: A tool, an electro-discharge electrode holder, and a machine tool are provided to perform electric discharge by supplying power generated from the generator activated by the rotation of a spindle to an electrode. CONSTITUTION: A tool(60) comprises a generator(70), an electro-discharge electrode(100), and a mounting unit(62). The generator produces electricity by the power provided from the outside. The electro-discharge electrode performs electric-discharge machining with the electricity from the generator. The mounting unit allows a work piece to be attached or detached to or from a movement position determining unit.
