STREAMING PLAYBACK APPARATUS AND STREAMING PLAYBACK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streaming playback apparatus which is hardly influenced by a network throughput performance, and enables stable streaming playback.

SOLUTION: The streaming playback apparatus connected to a server via a network for acquiring a playback file from the server and playing it back is provided with: an acquiring means for acquiring a playback file which should be obtained at a designated timing according to an instruction form a playback control file from the server via the network at a timing earlier than the designated timing; a storage means for storing the playback file obtained by the acquiring means; and a playback control means for controlling the playback operation based on the playback control file. The playback control means provides the playback file stored in the storage means in accordance with the instruction of acquiring the playback file at the designated timing based on the playback control file.
