<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method capable of improving the internal quality of a cast slab at a last stage of casting, by rightsizing the cut-off length of the final solidification part of the cast slab. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The continuous casting method is a method for improving the internal quality of a cast slab at a last stage of casting. The method continuously measures the temperature of the steel remained in a tundish throughout the period of time from ending of supply of molten steel from a ladle until completion of pouring thereof to a mold, using a temperature measuring device arranged in the vicinity of the bottom part of the tundish. The length of a cut-off part of a final solidification part is determined according to the lowest value of the measured superheat degree of the remained molten steel, and the cut-off part is cut and removed. The temperature measuring device is inserted upward from the bottom part of the tundish, or inserted in a horizontal direction from the sidewall part of the tundish, and the temperature measuring front end of the temperature measuring device is preferably arranged to be positioned 50-250 mm above from the bottom surface of the tundish.
