<p>A planing machine, esp for use on wood and plastic, comprises a blade shaft (8) with a suction unit attached to it. The suction unit can be attached to either side of the machine, and sucks up shavings and dust (12). It consists of an open funnel section (2) with a suction channel (3) connected via a longitudinal slot (9). The channel is tubular, and the shavings and dust are removed along a spiral path. The length of the funnel is matched to the length of the blade shaft.</p> |
