The system has a fixed bearing component and a rotary bearing component, where a bearing gap (24) filled with a bearing fluid is formed between opposite surfaces of the fixed and rotary components. The surfaces of the components are separated from each other, and two open ends of the bearing gap are sealed by two sealing units. One of the sealing units has an adjustment gap (42) and a sealing gap (40) formed in cooperation with the respective bearing components. A covering gap (38) is arranged in one of the bearing components.
