PURPOSE: An electronic component is provided to perform overheat prevention of an electronic device by using a positive temperature coefficient thermistor and improve reliability of the electronic component. CONSTITUTION: An electronic component element is formed so as for a first electrode and a second electrode(6) to face each other. A conductive first terminal member has a first spring contact piece(13) and a first pillar part. A first electricity insulation member is contacted with the first electrode in a location different from the first terminal member. A conductive second terminal member(12) has a second spring contact piece(14) and a second pillar part(15). A second electricity insulation member(18) is contacted with the second electrode in a location different from the second terminal member. A case receives the electronic component element and the first and second terminal members.
